We were waiting in line with the stars from “Eyes Wide Open”. They were so chill. I can’t believe how good that movie was. It was about two hasidic male Jews who fall in love. It was so beautifully acted. I really hope that this film comes to America, because I would buy it.

After our two hour nap last night, we got up to go see Inglourious Basterds and Fish Tank. INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS IS THE BEST MOVIE HERE. (In my opinion) I’m excited that I saw the 2h40min movie, because I can’t picture what priceless scenes they have to cut out to make it less time for America.

I forgot to blog about this, but the other day as I was doing a video interview for the program outside on the patio I was asked the question “So, has anything else crazy happened to you while here in Cannes?” and just as I was about to answer a huge flock of birds flew over me and all pooped on me. Like 5 birds. I was covered, and the first thing I could think to say to the guy with the camera was “did you catch that on film!?!?” I think he thought my first reaction would be to burst into tears, but I just couldn’t stop laughing. How appropriate for that question. I hope he keeps the coverage.

I saw Heath Ledger’s final film today, “The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus”. Drop everything you are doing when this film comes to the U.S. and go see it! It was incredibly acted and a really nice tribute to Heath. The female lead, Lily Cole, was great too, she was beautiful and a great actress. I really enjoyed the story and how it was basically a competition between the devil and a character similar to god.

We went to the beach today, lot’s of jellyfish. Off to another premier!

Last night I got promoted to the (non-existent) “head of the New York branch” of my internship. Katerina was our European correspondent. Basically our company went global on the walk to the yacht. It was a lot of fun, but there were some definite sketchy old Brits on that yacht and I’m glad to be off of it.

Last day of my internship was yesterday, but I went in today to help pack up, and as a result, I am now 50 euros and a yacht party invite richer. I love Cannes.

We had to take an inventory of all our DVDs and flyers today and had to pack them all up in red plastic boxes to be stored for the next Cannes. I think everyone was moving a little slowly today after last night, but luckily Vince got a ticket to the Inglourious Basterds tonight! He’d been wanting to go to that all week, guess it pays to have connections!

I was sad to see my internship go, I learned a whole lot and met some really great people. Thank god for Facebook and email, otherwise this would’ve been a whole lot sadder.

Must figure out what to wear on the yacht tomorrow (!!)…
